Job Description

Bookkeeper.com is a progressive organization with a staff of highly trained individuals who have many years of experience in their fields.  We currently have a position available for a full-time Payroll Specialist within our company.   As a member of our team, you must have the ability to work efficiently in our fast-paced environment.  You should bring relevant experience, strong self-motivation, a keen sense of urgency, and a collaborative team mindset. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process live payrolls 

  • Review and distribute Quarterly payroll tax returns

  • Review and distribute annual W-2’s 

  • Provide all documents required based on our client’s needs

  • Consult with clients on payroll-related matters

  • Prepare payroll audits & census reports

  • Research and resolving payroll tax notices

  • Register clients for state tax accounts

  • Process garnishments, retirement contributions, and other benefit-related payments

Job Requirements

Requirements for the Payroll Specialist are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

  • At least 2 years of payroll experience (preferred)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Effective time management abilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with ADP systems (preferred)
